Saskatchewan has a vibrant art and culture scene, scenic provincial parks and plenty of sports and recreation opportunities. It is known as the birthplace of Medicare; its residents enjoy free medical care and excellent health care services.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) operates a number of different streams by which foreign nationals, both inside and outside of Saskatchewan, can apply for Permanent Residence in Canada.
The International Skilled Worker Category is for skilled workers outside of Saskatchewan who want to work and live in Saskatchewan.
1. Employment Offer: The program is for the candidates who have a job offer for a skilled occupation in Saskatchewan.
2. Occupation in DemandThis program does not require a job offer letter to make an application under SINP and is for highly skilled workers in-demand occupation.
Saskatchewan Express Entry This program is for the candidates who have a valid express entry profile number and a job seeker code and want to live and work in Saskatchewan.
A. Skilled worker with existing Work Permit: This category caters to skilled workers who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months with a valid work permit.
To apply under this program, the candidate must have a Permanent full-time job-offer from a Saskatchewan employer in NOC 0, A, B. The candidate must have worked for more than 6 months for the employer offering the job, with a valid IRCC work permit. The candidate has a valid SINP Job Approval Letter and the candidate must show sufficient Language proficiency and settlement funds.
B. Semi-Skilled Agriculture Worker with existing Work Permit: This category is for semi-skilled agriculture workers who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months with a valid work permit.
To apply under this program, the candidate must have a Permanent full-time job-offer from a Saskatchewan employer in one of the occupations: NOC 8431: General Farm Worker or NOC 8432: Nursery and Greenhouse Worker.The candidate has a valid SINP Job Approval Letter and the candidate must show sufficient Language proficiency
C. Health Professional:This stream is for skilled workers who:
• Have been working full-time in Saskatchewan for at least six months, on a temporary work permit as a:
o Physician;
o Nurse; or
o Other health professional.
• Meet the SINP criteria for nomination.
• Have been working full-time in Saskatchewan for at least six months, on a temporary work permit as a:
D.Hospitality Sector Project: This sub-category is for foreign workers who want to apply for permanent residency and:
• Are currently working in Saskatchewan on a temporary work permit;
• Have been working with an SINP Hospitality-approved employer for a minimum of six months (780 hours); and
• Are working in one of the following jobs:
o Food/Beverage Server (NOC 6513)
o Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper (NOC 6711)
o Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff (NOC 6731)
• Meet the its eligibility criteria.
E. Long-Haul Truck Drivers:This sub-category is for long-haul truck drivers working in trucking firms of Saskatchewan.To qualify for this project, long-haul truck drivers:
• Must begin working for an approved trucking firm in Saskatchewan on a temporary foreign work permit
• If an approved trucking firm offers permanent employment, the trucker may apply to the SINP for permanent resident status after at least six months employment.
• Meet the sub-category eligibility criteria.
The program is for the students who have graduated from any institute in Canada. To apply under this program student must have obtained a diploma or degree from a recognized Canadian institution. An applicant should have a valid post-graduate work permit and 960 hours of paid employment in the past 6 months in Saskatchewan to apply in this program. The candidate should have sufficient language skills, a permanent job offers from an employer in Saskatchewan, and a valid SINP Job approval letter to apply under this program.
