New Brunswickis one of Canada’s northeastern Maritime Province. New Brunswick is the only officially bilingual province in Canada, with about 30 percent of the population speaking French as a first language. To attract, accommodate and cater to a higher number of permanent residents, New Brunswick PNP offers various immigration categories. The New Brunswick PNP accepts applications under the following immigration categories:

• Express Entry Labour Market Stream: This stream allows the Province to use the federal Express Entry immigration selection system to meet New Brunswick’s specific labour market and demographic needs. New Brunswick PNP Express Entry operates under an ‘Expression of Interest’ model.

• Skilled Worker Stream: The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream is designed for Foreign Nationals who possess the skills, education and work experience needed to contribute to New Brunswick’s economy. Candidates must meet the program’s minimum eligibility requirements, have a genuine offer of employment from a New Brunswick Employer and have the full intent to live and work in the province on a permanent basis.

This program will also help New Brunswick employers, unable to fill job vacancies with a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, recruit foreign nationals and international graduates whose skills are needed in the province.

• Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program: New Brunswick is one of four participating Atlantic Provinces working with the Government of Canada to recruit foreign workers to meet labour market shortages in Atlantic Canada. Foreign nationals interested in participating in the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program may be residing abroad or on temporary status in Canada at the time of applying.

• New Brunswick Entrepreneurial Stream: The New Brunswick Entrepreneurial Stream is designed for experienced business owners and senior managers who wish to become permanent residents by owning a business in New Brunswick (NB) and managing it, while residing in the Province.
