Newfoundland And Labrador Provincial Nominee Program(NLPNP)

The Newfoundland and Labrador (NLPNP) program operates five programs. You may qualify if:

• you have a job offer from a Newfoundland employer, or

• you are already working in Newfoundland on a valid work permit, or

• you wish to own and operate a business in Newfoundland

Following are the major categories through which immigration aspirants can make an application under the Newfoundland and Labrador PNP program:

• Express Entry skilled worker category

• Skilled worker category

• International Graduate stream

Express Entry Skilled Worker

This category is for the applicants who have a valid profile in the Federal express entry pool. The candidate should also have a high-skilled job offer from an eligible employer of Newfoundland & Labrador employer for at least two years. The candidate should also possess a minimum of post-secondary education and must also demonstrate sufficient funds for settlement in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Skilled Worker

This category is for the candidates who have a permanent high-skilled Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) job offer under the National occupation classification level 0, A or B. Also, the salary and other benefits should meet the provincial standards of employment. The candidate should also possess a minimum of post-secondary education and must also demonstrate sufficient funds for settlement in Newfoundland and Labrador. The applicant must demonstrate the intention and ability to settle permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador and the employer must also demonstrate a need for the skill set of the candidate.

International Graduate Stream:

This category is for recent graduates who have a Post-Graduate Work Permit and a job offer from an eligible employer of Newfoundland and Labrador. To apply under this program, the candidate must have graduated from a public fund university or college of Canada for at least 2 years. The candidate should also have a full-time employment offer in the field of the study or related to the field of study. The candidate must also be able to demonstrate sufficient settlement funds, language ability, training, skills, and the intention to work and settle in Newfoundland and Labrador.

International Entrepreneur Stream:

The International Entrepreneur category is intended for experienced business owners or senior business managers who wish to permanently reside in Newfoundland and Labrador. They must start a new business or buy an existing business and must actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business. After operating the business for at least one continuous year, the international entrepreneur may be nominated for permanent resident status, subject to fulfillment of certain criteria outlined by the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism.

International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream:

The International Graduate Entrepreneur category is intended for graduates of Memorial University or College of the North Atlantic who have already started or bought a local business and maintained day-to-day operations for at least one continuous year. In order to receive nomination for permanent resident status, the graduate entrepreneur must fulfill certain criteria outlined by the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism.
